Instant Quick-Pierce CO2 System & Seal Protection

Standard CO2 gas guns typically require the gas cartridge to be pierced upon initial loading, which can cause internal seal degradation if stored pressurized over extended periods. The Umarex TP50 Gen 2 solves this with an emergency-ready quick-pierce mechanism in the grip. A standard 12g CO2 capsule is loaded into the handle by unscrewing the bottom nozzle and can sit unpunctured in standby mode indefinitely. When required, pushing or tapping the bottom nozzle upward punctures the capsule seal instantly, rendering the pistol fully pressurized in a fraction of a second.

When target practice or defensive use is complete, press the protruding pressure-release button located where the hammer rests on the Umarex TP50 Gen 2. This vents all remaining gas from the valve chamber before storage, preserving internal O-rings and ensuring a substantially longer operational lifespan.

• Velocity drop during rapid fire: Firing rapidly causes extreme thermal cooling within the CO2 valve system. Allow the pistol to rest briefly at ambient temperature to recover full gas pressure and maximum energy output.
